Please add me to your announcement list. I live in the Bay Area and would love to attend a showing of your work. I recently purchased a print of yours, a barn in a country dirt road. Light green fields around it, dark green Forrest on the mountain behind it. It is marked 9/20. The dirt road reminds me of Vermont where I used to live, but the bleached white/gray color of the barn looks more like California. I love the scenes in both states but am curious which state this is from.
Rich, The silkscreen you have is titled “Pescadero Barn.” Pescadero is a small coastal town about 50 miles south of San Francisco. I hand-printed the silkscreen edition in, I think, 1980 or 1981 and it was probably the third or fourth edition of around 35 in my printing career. It is interesting that you say it reminds you of Vermont — 1980 was just a few years after moving from the East Coast to SF and the “Eastern” influence must have still been showing in my artwork.
Thanks for letting me know about your piece. I will add you to my artwork Google Group.
I have a much loved watercolor of .a New England barn which is dated 1972. It was probably purchased from Swain’s Art Shop that same year. It has moved with us from New Jersey to Florida and we continue to enjoy it every day
Hi Scott, I just recently acquired what I believe is an early piece of yours. It’s similar to your “Open Ocean” work. It’s numbered 23/90. Can you tell more about it? I can email you a photo if that helps.
Thank you for your comment. I did “Open Ocean” from a watercolor of the same name and, if I remember correctly, I only printed a small edition of 90 (usually the editions were at least 280 to 300) because, forgive me, I did not want to waste the expensive paper I had lying around. That accounts for the unusual size of the print which is much more horizontally elongated that I would have customarily worked with. It i pretty much a “made up” image. I do not really remember much else about it since it was printed probably around 1984 or 1985.
Hi Scott -I wrote you 11 or 12 years ago I have # 18 of 275 “Winter Road” been hanging over the bed in our guest room & were still loving it
Thank you, Lonnie. That’s wonderful to hear.

Very good watercolors. Interesting progression.
They are not in any particular order, unfortunately.
